Nothing hysterical happened in the office today. The photocopy machine has become my good friend. Making purchase order is the main job of the day. Starting to like work, maybe it’s because im getting a proper work space now. The past few day’s my dept is quite cramped with products, but after having to clear most of it. We are certainly getting more breathing space. I found the reason why they have mirrors on their desk. It is to see who’s at the back of them, not really the bosses, but it is to prevent them from getting a shock of their life when someone come sneaking at the back of you.
My colleague made me thinking about this. She says that if we like a certain colour. (As for me, purple.) You lack the qualities of that colour. Well, I’ve done a bit of a research on the colour purple, or rather violet.
This is what I found out,from a web http://www.colourtherapyhealing.com Violet relates to self knowledge/ spiritual awareness. It is the union with your higher self, with spirituality, and your higher consciousness.
Ideally this colour is one that
(1) ensures reverence for all life
(2) allow one to be self sacrificing in the service of others
(3) An ability to see the appropriate route for the benefit of the higher self
(4) Idealism. (extreme optimism has joash has defined for me)
Well, it certainly seem extremely profound to me.
On the other hand one who lack of it
(1) Has no concern for others
(2) feelings of superiority
(3) lack of contact with reality
Well, I do not exactly agree with the first. But I think the third one can be said of me. (since I like Cinderalle a lot –yet I know it’s just “this-knees” crap to make everything end with a happily-ever-after- I guess the main idea is that I lack self knowledge/ spiritual awareness.
Joash has described the idea of idealism as to have a "everything is gonna be just perfect" mindset. Well, I’m doubt I think that way. I believe otherwise, well, most of the time. Isn’t that to say point 3, lack of contact with reality is not valid? Okay, im confused..
