So much for doing something more meaningful. It’s the same old driving and then movies. 300 and TMNT is good. I like the Captain’s son in 300, Stelios I think. Sadly he’s beheaded. Su was saying that the Cast was hand picked for the abs. Lol, I thought it was just the graphics that they had packs. If 300 is 4 popcorns, TMNT is 3. I think the turtles seem to have slim down alot. However, TMNT fans like KS will like the movie. Michelangelo is still as funny.

Im suppose to go try the “bao bei” noodles, but we ended up eating at Cartel. Haha, soon all 3 of them (ie joash, ian and chris) will have really short hair and the standard army boy specs. Yesterday it was only Chris doing most of the “army talk”. I guess when we meet up the next time... All of them will go on and on about their army life.
My driving today was horrendous. The heavy traffic and drizzle got me rather panicky. The instructor is so intimidating. Im crossing my fingers that I will not get him as my instructor again.
Watched Extreme Makeover Home edition, the house is so pretty. Haha, I watched My Sassy Girl on youtube too. (yes, that’s how bored I am) but the show’s really sweet. My whole slacking week is just driving, hanging out and watching shows/movies. I feel it’s very wasted, I want to do something more meaningful.

I had driving yesterday morning again. I had double lessons back to back. My right ankle hurt a little for not being able to leave it down on the mat, but it was certainly fun having to drive out of the circuit. Meet up with Yanyan at night. We had a quick dinner before we head down to Paragon’s Starbucks and sat there thru the night. We talked about everything from past, present and future. I hope we can go to the course that we like in the same uni and be hostel mates! That will be really cool. It’s amazing how time flies and I only remembered about the shopping I had to do when I see the shutters of the shops around Starbucks going down. We’ll meet up soon for shopping I guess.
Had quite a ‘feast’ today tasting food, an assorted salmon cheese platter with black caviar and a bowl of lobster bisque. All supposedly good food but I do not quite appreciate them. I only like one of the sweet cheese on the platter, the rest were too salty. I’d still prefer Japanese salmon roe to black caviar. Lobster bisque tasted like prawn head, not so rich in taste though. It’s amazing that my cousin is big fan of cheese. He pops cheese like chips into his mouth. However, it wasn’t such a bad feast having to eat Canelé’s cookies.. =)

I had a good time catching up with jb today. You are certainly a busy man ah.. Traveling all around the world.. Driving today was fun! It’s my first lesson. I was basically traveling at 10km/hr all the while. I caused some really huge road block when my car stalled a couple of times at the pedestrian crossing. Im looking forward to lessons tmr.

Im glad I didn’t have to stay home the whole day today. I joined the guys for kayaking. Somehow the kayaks have disappeared from ECP. Haha.. we ended up stoning at the hawker centre after a long walk (in which I was highly entertained by their singing). Had a drink and took some pics before we cab down to Mac. (Yes, we were certainly too tired to walk back) Continue to stone there when they started talking about power rangers.. and got all excited about it. Well, I had a great day stoning really.. Just like the times during first 3 months, all I did was slacking around and having fun with friends. Really hope my darlings are free soon.. so we can meet up too.

The morning swim today's fun! Everyone was rushing towards the mrt station while i make my way slowly to the swimming pool. I was lucky to reach home before it starts pouring.
Came home and continue watching The Holiday which I watched halfway at my cousin’s place. I watched the very old version of The phantom of the Opera. The storyline is much clearer than the modern one. It was partly because there was less singing. The storyline is also different. The phantom got disfigured by acid and not because he was tortured. Christine had 3 admirers in the older version as compare to 2 in the modern one. I couldn’t make out what they were singing... it was either in French or Russian. (They spoke in English though).
I’m going to start my driving lessons soon and im quite excited about it. I’ve got a new student who's learning piano from me. Anyone else who’s a beginner and wants to learn too? I wonder how I’ll be spending my time tomorrow. It’s getting too boring merely watching movies and shopping. I want to go to ECP to fly kite, but everyone’s at work!

I have been very sickly for the past few days. The dental attachment on Monday was rather fun. I spent the first half of the day at the dental clinic at NUH and the second half of the day at the student clinic. I prefer the dental clinic because the setting is nicer, in the sense; it was bright, clean and new. As for the student clinic, it is a little older and gloomy. It would have been better if I went to the student clinic first. However, I saw different aspects of dentistry. In the morning there were cases like a fractured jaw (poor guy from rugby), had some uncle coming in with a loose bridge, and to this surprise a fractured tooth that he did not realize as his nerve has been dead (so there was no pain). Many cases actually. In the student’s clinic I saw how they treat the children. The pedo-dontist was amazing in how they handle the children.
However, the hospital isn’t the kind of setting that I would like to work in future. I do not like gloomy hospitals. I think I’ve told Jessie that… and she said... “People sick ma, how can have bright light?” I agree, but it just makes the whole setting so sad and gloomy. I hate all the medical smell. And I think the bright light used by the dentist has killed some of the cells of my cornea, It was so glaring even I look away from it. I was so shag when I came home, my eyes could hardly open. What made it worst was that I vomited out my dinner during my wash-up to go to bed.
Because I felt so weak, I postpone my second attachment to today. I got lost along my way to the dental clinic, but fortunately I was early, so I still manage to reach there early. It was interesting today too, a lot of orthodontic cases. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. I felt faint when I saw a patient with loads of blood being sucked out of the suction, I tried to remain clam and not be disgusted by it. I guess it was partly due to my hungry stomach, (it was only minutes to lunch) no blood was flowing to my head, and standing did not help too, so I excused myself for like 5 min. Sat down and breathed some fresh air before I went in again. At that moment, I told myself im SO not going to take dentistry. After lunch, the doctor actually offered me to go to other of his friend’s clinic to take a look, that’s when I told him I might want to give that a miss. (because at that pt, I thought I should just give up on dentistry) Albeit, he was encouraging, he said I should not give up dentistry because I felt faint/nausea at the bloody sight.
Haiz, I really don’t know what I want in life. What career path I want to take. I guess that was the same dilemma I had after Os, decided to stick to JC and avoid the topic. Yet, It’s here again! Fickle minded Gemini is really having a hard time... =( Ms Ho says someone out there has plans for me... Maybe that's why i was in IJ and not CJ. We shall see..

Yeah, as the classic song goes, “I’m leaving on a jet plane, I don’t know when I’ll be back again”. Everything is so uncertain. Choices and more choices. I’ll be going on a 2 weeks leave and probably leaving for good too. The attachment is still pending. Hope I can start ASAP. It’s great to know that people around the work place care and enjoy working with me. Thanks for the gifts and the group lunch. I felt that they seem to know me so well despite the fact that I’ve only been working together with them for merely 2 months. The gifts were really practical haha. Will certainly miss you all loads.
oh and to Christina, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
